Founded in Minnesota in 2015, Glorious Hugs has a passion for making it easier for us to care for each other, starting with sending joy and engagement (thereby alleviating loneliness and stress) to older persons and college students. The care packages are designed to be discussed: talk about the art and poetry, use the discussion questions as conversation starters, share the cookies, and enjoy the toys.
Glorious Hugs was inspired in seeking to improve the qualify of life for my grandmother Gloria, hence the name "Glorious Hugs."
Every care package item is sourced from the Twin Cities area so the care packages are uniquely Minnesotan. The Glorious Hugs box is used for mailing and is as distinctive and awe-inspiring as a bouquet of flowers. In opening the box, tissue paper cradles the contents and the handwritten card and envelope with your heartfelt message is on the top. An envelope of papers is underneath with the poetry, artist bios, discussion questions, coloring pages, and stamped postcard. The artwork is carefully wrapped in easy-to-handle bubblewrap next to the cookies, colored pencils, essential oil product samples, seed envelope and any of the optional items.
In using this website, first learn more about what's included in the care packages under "About Care Packages" then select your art under "Start with Art." After selecting your piece of art, a form pops up with other customization options. Select a date that you want the package delivered. Order additional cookies if you'd like. Watch videos and read biographies about the artists under the "Artists" tab.
Once Glorious Hugs gets big enough, fulfillment of the care packages will be outsourced to the developmentally disabled community.
Our care packages are unique, healthy birthday presents, welcome gifts, hostess gifts, Mothers Day and Fathers Day presents, stress-relievers during finals and anytime you want to send an abundance of caring.
